Allot
of people are wondering what Racing Fashion is and what it brings.
Well nothing really in the way of material prizes and accolades on a
grand scale.
But
my whole objective in the past 5 years is to give a perception of
what we can embrace about ourselves and look to ourselves and be
happy in what we have.
I
would like you to think back, way beyond 5 years ago, when you would
go to the races and ladies would be somewhat 'mocked' for having a go
in 'Fashions on the Field' as friends would have to wait around to
see if their friend had been picked and really it was frustrating for
the husbands to not get their bets on (or was that just my husband).
In
the times that I competed in Fashions on the Field with huge prize
pools, not once did I really care to win, I just loved getting
dressed up and putting on a hat. It was just like being a little girl
playing dress ups.
When
I competed, ladies would get frustrated why they were not picked. I
honestly did not mind, I think I went on stage 30 weeks pregnant in
couture. I just loved it.
